The mat certainly does have a luxurious feel - it is so soft to walk on. It washes well and fluffs up as it dries naturally. The backing looks very sturdy so should be long-lasting. I am using it on vinyl flooring and it does not slip. There has been no shedding of fibres. I am very pleased with this mat.
